Professor Zhang Xiao-feng currently works in the affiliated Hangzhou First People's Hospital of Zhejiang University Medical College. She is the postgraduate supervisor and the second-grade professor of Zhejiang University Medical College and Zhejiang Traditional Chinese Medicine university. She is also the vice president of Hangzhou First People’s hospital, and the president of Hangzhou Digestive Disease Hospital, and the director of Hangzhou Digestive Disease Research Institute.

Besides, she holds many important posts in different levels of Chinese medical associations. Some of the representative and imperative posts are as the followings: committee member of Chinese Society of Digestive Endoscopology, associate director of ERCP group and committee member of Anesthesia Collaboration Group of Chinese Society of Digestive Endoscopology；standing committee member of Endoscopist branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, leader of women endoscopist special committee of Endoscopist branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association; vice president of Digestive Doctor Branch of Zhejiang Medical Doctor Association ；vice president of Pancreatic Disease Professional Committee of Zhejiang Medical Doctor Association; vice president of Zhejiang Medical Association of Digestive Endoscopology; associate director of Endoscopic Ultrasound Group and Artificial Intelligence Group affiliated to Zhejiang Medical Association of Digestive Endoscopology; President of Hangzhou Medical Association of Digestive and Endoscopology. 

She is acting as a corresponding editor for multiple influential academic journals such as Chinese Journal of Digestive Endoscopy, Chinese Journal of Pancreatic Disease, and Endoscopic Ultrasound.

Professor Zhang Xiao-feng graduated from Anhui Medical University of clinical medicine, where she obtained the Bachelor degree. During the period of September 2000 to July 2003, she participated the research course class held by Zhejiang University of Medical college, from which she studied the Master programme. In November 2003, she went to Japan and learned the technology of Endoscopic Ultrasonography. In December 2005, she went to the medical college of Hamburger University in German, where she studied the ERCP procedure from professor Sohendra who’s the international famous ERCP expert. 

Professor Zhang is specializing in diagnosis and management of digestive diseases by endoscopy. She is good at endoscopically diagnosis and treatment of various digestive diseases, such as endoscopic hemostasis of digestive bleeding, dilatation of stenotic digestive tract with stents and percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG). Specially, she is skilled in ERCP technique to diagnose and manage various kinds of pancreaticobiliary diseases, like cholelithiasis, obstructive jaundice, benign or malignant biliary stenosis, acute or chronic pancreatitis. 

She has carried out many high-level and advanced endoscopic procedures. They include multiple stent drainage for hilar biliary stenosis, pancreas divisum, pancreatic huge stones, ERCP for reconstruction of alimentary tract, EUS-guided biliary drainage (EUS-BD), EUS-guided pancreatic drainage (EUS-PD)， Spyglass technique, radiofrequency ablation for biliary tumor, etc.
